H. Erhard Wagner was founded in 1953 by Helmut Erhard Wagner, who had been in the wool wax business since before WW II. The wool wax and its derivatives - truly versatile substances used in such diverse industries as pharmaceutics, cosmetics, anti-corrosion and leather treatment - have been our products from the very first days. 

In 1956 Wolfgang Wagner had entered the company and succeeded his father as managing director in 1970. Being a restless traveller, he managed to expand our business globally. Karl-Heinz Minke, who had joined us in 1966, was also having an important role in the successful growth of our company until his retirement in April 2008.

In 1986 the company was transformed into H. Erhard Wagner GmbH, a private limited company. Since Wolfgang Wagners retirement in 2004, his son Steffen Wagner has been leading the company. In the beginning of 2008 Mr. Thorsten Stich joined H. Erhard Wagner GmbH as 2nd managing director.

Since our early days we've been considerably expanding our product range. Nevertheless, even nowadays we focus on the natural waxes and oils in which we feel we can be your strong partner.
